Luma Lamp WiFi Setup

Follow these steps to connect your Luma Lamp to your home WiFi.

What you need

  • ✦ Your Luma Lamp plugged in and switched on
  • ✦ A phone, tablet, or laptop
  • ✦ Your home WiFi name and password

Turn on your Luma Lamp

Plug in your Luma Lamp and wait around 30 seconds for it to start up.

Connect to the Luma Lamp WiFi

On your phone, tablet, or laptop:

  1. Open your WiFi settings.
  2. Look for a WiFi network called:
Luma Lamp

Connect to it using this password:

12345678

Your phone may say there is no internet connection. This is normal — you are connecting directly to the lamp.

Open the setup page

After connecting, a setup page may open automatically.

If it does not open, open your web browser and type this into the address bar:

http://4.3.2.1

Add your home WiFi details

On the WLED setup page:

  1. Tap WiFi Settings.
  2. Enter your home WiFi name.
  3. Enter your home WiFi password.
  4. Tap Save & Connect.

The Luma Lamp will restart and try to connect to your home WiFi.

Reconnect your phone to your normal WiFi

After the lamp restarts, reconnect your phone, tablet, or laptop back to your normal home WiFi.

Control your Luma Lamp

To control the lamp, download the WLED app on your phone or tablet.

Open the app and let it search for your Luma Lamp automatically.

You can then change the colours, brightness, effects, and presets.

Troubleshooting

I cannot see "Luma Lamp" in my WiFi list

Turn the lamp off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on. Wait around 30 seconds and check your WiFi list again.

The setup page does not open

Make sure you are connected to the Luma Lamp WiFi network, then open your browser and go to:

http://4.3.2.1

The lamp will not connect to my home WiFi

Check that your WiFi password is typed correctly. If your router has separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, try connecting the lamp to the 2.4GHz WiFi network.

I cannot find the lamp in the WLED app

Make sure your phone and the Luma Lamp are connected to the same home WiFi network. Then close and reopen the WLED app and search again.

Need to set it up again?

If you change your WiFi router or password, repeat the same steps by connecting to the Luma Lamp WiFi network and entering your new WiFi details.
